Para-Standing tennis players from around the world will travel to Greensboro, NC, Fall 2025 Carolinas Adaptive Standing Tennis Tournament hosted at Pinetop Neighborhood Resort. We cordially invite any and all Para-Standing athletes to participate in this event. This tournament is designed for individuals with physical disabilities or limitations using adaptive techniques to compete and learn the sport of tennis. Whether you have played in the past or are new to the sport, tennis provides a great opportunity to have fun and compete through sport.

WHAT IS PARA STANDING TENNIS?

Adaptive tennis is a way of playing tennis for individuals with physical disabilities that involves one or more of the following modifications:

The use of adaptive equipment (i.e., prosthetic device)
A change in rules (i.e, two bounces allowed)
The use of a smaller court (for those with more severe mobility issues)
A modification to the length of the match.

On behalf of GRETA and our partners, Pinetop Neighbor Resort and Greensboro Parks & Recreation, we invite you to be a part of this first-of-its-kind in the southeast tournament for adaptive athletes.

Players are asked to complete their registration and $50 registration fee by September 15, 2024.

A block of rooms will be secured for players at the Greensboro-High Point Marriott Airport for $134 USD per night

SPONSOR INFORMATION

You can be a part of this exciting new expansion of adaptive sports in our region by sponsoring the CAST Tournament. The tournament draws players locally, nationally and internationally, including beginner and professional players.

Your support will help keep the cost to participants low and provides financial assistance to players for travel expenses that would otherwise prohibit them from participating. It will also allow us to host a youth standing adaptive tennis clinic during the event to introduce kids to the game of tennis. For your charitable donation, we will provide you or your organization recognition throughout the tournament.
