Adaptive standing tennis players from around the world will travel to Greensboro, NC, September 30 – October 3, 2021 to the 2nd Carolinas Adaptive Standing Tennis Tournament at Pinetop Sports Club. We cordially invite any and all adaptive athletes to participate in this event. Whether you have played in the past or are new to the sport, tennis provides a great opportunity to have fun and compete through sport.
WHAT IS ADAPTIVE TENNIS?
Adaptive tennis is a way of playing tennis that involves one or more of the following modifications:
- The use of adaptive equipment (i.e., wheelchair or prosthetic device)
- A chance in rules (i.e, two bounces allowed)
- The use of a smaller court (for those with more severe mobility issues)
- A modification to the length of the match.
On behalf of CAST, GRETA, Pinetop Sports Club and Greensboro Parks & Recreation, we invite you to be a part of a first-of-its-kind in the southeast tournament for adaptive athletes.
