VOLUNTEER INFORMATION
GRETA is proud to serve as the host Community Tennis Association (CTA) for the 2026 USTA North Carolina Mixed Doubles State Championships, and we’re incredibly grateful for the continued support of our vibrant tennis community!
We’ll be welcoming over 1200 players from across the state competing on 57 courts each day — and we need your help to make this event a success.

- Volunteer t-shirt and name badge plus fun, community spirit!
- All volunteers are required to review training materials before working the event.

- Every volunteer shift completed = 1 raffle entry
- Volunteers who work 2+ shifts = 1 bonus entry
- Volunteers who serve as a site desk coordinator = 2 bonus entries

Daily Draw prizes: Each day, one volunteer who worked that day will be randomly selected for an instant prize—$10-15 gift card, USTA/GRETA swag.
Volunteer VIP Bonus: Anyone who volunteers 4 or more shifts gets entered into an exclusive drawing for a bigger prize.
VOLUNTEER POSITION DESCRIPTIONS
- Site Desk Coordinator – ensure teams are checked-in at match location and results are sent to Tournament Headquarters. See complete description.
- Site Desk Assistant Court Monitors/Times – Assist Site Desk Coordinators by monitoring court warmups and notifying desk of matches close to completion.
- Site Desk Floater Volunteers – these volunteers will be set to take over should weather or other issues cause delays to the daily schedule. They will relieve afternoon site desk coordinators or assist with transitions to indoor facilities in the event of rain.
- Site Greeter/Hospitality Volunteers – Be the welcome face to players as they arrive at facilities and provide information on location of site desk, restrooms, water, etc. Share area information on nearby restaurants and things to do!
- Court Refresh Volunteers – assist with mid-day court/facility refresh. Sweep lines during mid-day break. Check water for refill. Assist facility with any mid-day clean up needed.
